Hello! My name is Kira and I am very excited to be the Drum Major for the 2026 Marching Cougars! This is my 5th season with the band and I can't wait to bring this amazing show tto life! I am the flute section leader, and I play the flute and the piccolo. My favorite MP show was Nature vs. Machines in 2022, because this was where my marching band journey began. I wouldn't be where I am today without the experience I gained from being a part of that show with the amazing people in that group! I love being in band, and I can't wait to have so much fun with you all this season!

Hello, I'm Irvin, and I'm thrilled to be in my fourth season with the MP Marching Cougars! I'm really looking forward to stepping into the new role of Commanding Officer and leading the low brass section for the 2026-2027 marching band season. I play the bass clarinet as my main instrument. One of my favorite shows was Mirage because of the musical approach and creative direction that really brought a unique story to life with such an inspiring vision. Another fun fact about me is that I was first chair bass clarinet in the All-Virginia Orchestra. I also attended a summer at Radford University's Summer Residential Governor's School for Visual and Performing Arts and Humanities in 2025. I have learned over 12 different instruments in the last 14 years!

Clarinet Section Leader

Hi, my name is Kaitlyn! I've been in the MP Marching Cougars for three years and I play the clarinet. I have the amazing opportunity to serve as the clarinet section leader for the 2026 season. My favorite MP show has to be Pandora's Lament. I made so many memories during that year and it was really fun to be a part of. I know this season will be willed with just as many memories and fun times!

Saxophone Section Leader

Hi! My name is Patricia and I am the saxophone section leader for the 2026 season! This is my 5th year in the Marching Cougars and I play alto saxophone. My favorite show that I had the privalege of performing in was Pandora's Lament! It was such a unique theme with so much creativity and dedication. The end result truly proved that hard work does pay off. I'm always willing and available to help with answering any questions or concerns throughout the season!

High Brass Section Leader

I'm Jason and this will be my 3rd season with the MP Marching Cougars. I play the trumpet and I am very proud to be leading the High Brass section for the 2026 season. My favorite MP show was Mirage as it was very fun to play! As always "it's a great day to be a cougar!"

Color Guard Section Leader

Hello, my name is Tiope and this season is my 2nd season with the MP Marching Cougars. I am the color guard section leader for 2026. My favorite MP show is Pandora's Lament. I am so excited to lead and have an amazing show with the guard this season. I am determined to make sure this season is one of the best ones yet!

Pit Section Leader

Hello! My name is Glenn and I am one of the pit section leaders for the 2026 season. This is my 4th season marching with the MP Marching Cougars! My primary instrument is the flute and piccolo, but I enjoy playing a wide variety of instruments. My favorite MP show is Pandora's Lament because of the fun atmosphere and music. I can't wait to create an incredible season and build a lot of memories together!

Pit Section Leader

My name is Ela, and this will be my 2nd year in the MP Marching Cougars! I am one of the pit section leaders for the 2026 season. I play mallet instruments in the pit and last year played the xylophone. My favorite show was Mirage, and I'm looking forward to this upcoming season!

Drumline Section Leader

Hey, I'm Calix, and this is my 4th season with the MP Marching Cougars. I am one of the section leaders for both the field drumline and the touring Chop Squad drumline for the 2026 season. My primary instrument is the snare drum, and in my first year of marching band, I played the marimba. My favorite show that we have performed was Dreamscapes, because it was my first ever show and I find it the most memorable. I am very excited to be a part of this upcoming season!

Hello, my name is Kai and I am one of the section leaders for the drumline and I play the tenors. I've been in the marching band for three years. My favorite MP show is Dreamscape from 2023. I am really looking forward to working with everyone this season.

Bass Captain

Hello! My name is Erika and I am the Bass Captain for the MP Chop Squad. I have been in the marching band for 3 years. I served my first year in the pit and now play bass in the field line. Percussion instruments, especially bass drum, are  my main focus and my favorite instruments to play. I also sing in the MP Choirs. One of my favorite MP shows I've performed in was Pandora's Lament. I'm so excited for this season and can't wait to help make it a great experience for everyone!
